On February 15-18, Kuwait City hosts Culture Days of Kyrgyzstan as part of the year of Kyrgyz history and culture, Kabar news agency reports.
A Kyrgyz delegation of 50 officials and artists is headed by Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Altynbek Maksutov, Kabar says, citing the ministry.
The events’ program features performances by Kyrgyzstan’s leading dance troupes — Ak-Marak and Ordo-Sakhna — as well as screenings of popular Kyrgyz movies.
In addition, the Kuwaitis will have a chance to visit Kyrgyz art exhibitions and a tourist expo.
The Kyrgyz government has proclaimed 2016 the year of history and culture in order to preserve and develop the historic legacy of the nomadic nation.
